The Plant Quarantine Unit provides for inspection and certification of ornamental and agricultural produce as well as technical assistance on matters related to the IPPC (International Plant Protection Convention)

- Phytosanitary certification for the general public as well as for commercial exporters of agricultural produce
- Inspection of sand, grasses and plants for tourism projects
- Inspection of all solid wood packaging material (SWPM) in compliance with ISPM 15
- Inspection and certification of agricultural and horticultural produce and products for international trade
- Post entry inspections on plant material destined for commercial nurseries
- Aid in the education of exporters, importers and general public in the implementation of ISPM 15 and other international standards which will affect their ability to import or export
- Passenger Clearance
