Prerequisites:

You only need to have a pest problem to access this service but at this time our service is only available to local farmers.

Steps to access service

1. Submit a sample of the insect as well as some of the plant exhibiting damage (see collecting insects for identification)
2. Complete a sample submission form or a handwritten description of the damage to the plant
3. Deliver the sample to the Entomology Lab
4. Make sure to include ALL contact information

Outcome

The outcome of the investigation will depend on the condition of the sample submitted, if the sample cannot be used, or further investigation is necessary, a site visit may need to be arranged. The client will be contacted with the diagnoses as well as advice on any chemical or other treatments to be applied. Feel free to call and enquire about results of investigations if necessary.
