Three Pesticide Inspectors  from the Ministry of Agriculture attended a training workshop,entitled Obsolete Pestcides Inventory and Risk Assessment. This training was  organized by Ms. Gennia Oxley -(Pesticide Control Division, Ministry of Agriculture).  The workshop was held from August 26^th -28^th at the Environmental Protection Department, Conference Room.   It is important to note that similar training is being undertaken in thirteen (13) other Caribbean countries. The  aim of such training is aimed at  moving towards effective life cycle management of pesticides in accordance with International Code of Conduct.

In addition, this training would equip a team of officers in the island to be able to carry out inventory on pesticides  and subsequently the elimination of obsolete pesticides from the island.
