Catering services are provided by the 4-H Catering Centre for government departments, businesses and the general public upon request. Services are offered in the areas of lunches, dinners, snacks, appetizers, specialty items and a selection for vegetarians.

Registration is required by any group to be officially recognised as a 4-H Club with the 4-H Office. Registration entitles groups to general assistance.

Leadership Training is targeted at 4-H leaders and aims at improving skills in the areas of
Project Selection, Finance, Leadership, Motivation, among others, needed for effective performance of the role of leader. These programs are developed and scheduled by the 4-H Office in conjucntion with Leaders.

The 4-H Office provides training to all 4-H Clubs in the areas of agriculture, health and safety, home economics, craft and leadership.

Phytosanitary certificates are issued by Plant quarantine for plants, planting material and some processed plant products grown in Barbados for export to other countries.

The Soil Conservation Unit maintains 8 rainfall data collection stations across the Scotland District and provide daily rainfall and other agro-meteorological data to the Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology.

The BADMC operates two (2) shops within the Grantley Adams International Airport in Christ Church. In March of 2010 a re-branded BADMC convienience store re-opened named Carmeta's. Carmeta's is still a convenience shop in the foodcourt on the landside. Meanwhile, a duty-free shop is in the departure lounge or airside.
At Carmeta's you can purchase a variety of local alcoholic and non-aloholic beverages, syrups, food, specialty cakes, snacks and condiments just to name a few of the items on offer.
In the Duty-free shop, customers are able to purchase local and international alcoholic drinks, international liqueurs, locally manufactured pepper and other sauces and much more. Tobacco products are also available on offer.

Chemical testing of food, water and soil for pesticides and trace organic residues.
|

Chemical analysis of food products includes nutrient content, chemical constituents, environmental contaminants and product quality.

Water, soils, fertilisers and forages are analysed to determine inorganic chemical constituents. These analyses can give some advice on the suitability of the water for its intended use, ensure that the environmental contamination indicators are within acceptable limits and check for nutrient deficiencies in the plant tissue and soils.

Farmers Corner Radio Program is broadcasted three times weekly on the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and Starcom Radio. Broadcast times: 5.30 a.m CBC 100.7 FM and 6.15 a.m. Starcom Radio 92.9 FM. This program covers a number of varied topics ranging from recipes, fisheries information and other agricultural topics.

The Land for the Landless Programme is a government initiative where arable land, both private and public, is made available through lease or license arrangements to bona fide farmers who otherwise would not be able to access lands. A range of diverse agricultural projects is encouraged with emphasis being placed on enterprises with the greatest projected social and economic benefits. The programme is designed to empower Barbadians not only to provide for their families through Agrarian reform, especially in rural areas, but also to increase the productivity of value added agricultural products that will enable Barbados to become less dependent on imports.

The tractor service is available on request for scheduled launch or haul-out, or for emergency haul-out, of fishing boats at a number of beaches.

Participants are trained by cotton unit personnel in the complete agronomy and production of the crop with emphasis on new technologies and developments in the industry, scouting techniques, insect pest and natural enemy recognition and, pest management and control. This service is offerred prior to the start of a new season.
