Fisheries Division

MISSION STATEMENT Our mission is to ensure the optimum utilisation of the fisheries resources in the waters of Barbados for the benefit of the people of Barbados through management and development.

	Fishing Industry

This site provides information on the fisheries of Barbados. It includes the history of the local fishing industry, descriptions of boats, gear and fishing methods.

It also gives information on marketing of fish, the requirements for licensing fishing vessels and regulations related to harvesting fish and other marine species.
